Here’s a lightning round with the R6PL champions, Natus Vincere! Also known as Na’Vi, the squad officially came under the team banner in June, giving them roughly 6 months to play together. The squad coming from Challenger is no secret, with it mentioned ever so often once they came out to play. Yet somehow, they managed to come together, and win!
If you haven’t seen it already, the Year 4 Season 4 details are out. With it, comes two new Operators, Kali and Wamai. The squad haven’t tried them out yet, which is pretty understandable. They’d likely have been practicing, but with their win, they can start getting into them, along with the reworked Theme Park map!
After the R6PL, Na’Vi will be in Asia until the 23rd. They’ll be taking a little break, before they gear up for Season 11 and the Six Invitational in Montreal. One would think after the close games with Wildcard Gaming, whom they consider their most difficult opponent in R6PL, they’d well deserve that break. They mention preparing a lot for the team, their maps, their niche strategies, but also say the team had changed a lot. That’s why the games were as close as they were.
While they take some time out, the squad’s biggest takeaway from the R6PL is basically the experience in a LAN tournament. Management throughout the game, rounds and fortifying their mental strength, have been good lessons at the end of it.
Congratulations NAVI @natusvincere !
