Netease has announced they will release their biggest update this year for LifeAfter, titled The Revenant.
LifeAfter The Revenant will release on August 6th, and adds a new Server, as well as fleshing out the world of the crafting survival game.
One of the big things coming with the update is a major decision- starting August 6th, players will choose to continue the game as normal or to allow their characters to turn into Revenants.
As for what a Revenant is, here’s NetEase’s explanation:
A Revenant has both the sanity of Human and some of the mutant power of the Zombies but turning into one means abandoning the Human identity and appearance, and living as a half-human half-zombie. Although endowed with the more powerful mutant abilities, the Zombie power within is still trying to take over. Is Revenant a cure or a just a new disease to the Doomsday world?
As a marker of a Revenant’s strength, the mysterious Flower of Revenant is where the Revenant draws its power from. This special blue flower will endow Revenant with some of Zombie’s power, thus greatly increasing its combat ability.
Although humanity remains in Revenant and they’re determined to wipe out Zombies, they need to constantly trying to contain the Zombie power within them and not be consumed by it and become a Zombie.
New Server, More Rewards
Players will be able to register to join the new server too, starting today. Sign-ups can be done via the special LifeAfter The Revenant website, where you’ll be able to unlock special in-game rewards if the game hits registration goals. At the time of writing the website hasn’t launched yet.
A blizzard of devastating virus beleaguered the world, bringing about the catastrophic disintegration of orders and covenants.
LifeAfter, a mobile game depicting the survival of humanity in a post virus apocalyptic world, is officially launched.
Live on, together.
