First Things First
What’s it all about? LifeAfter is set in a post-zombie apocalypse world where, after a mysterious virus caused people to turn into the “Infected” law and order collapsed and gave rise to new forces who have seized and divided up what precious resources remain. Sound familiar? Think The Walking Dead but with more militia and tougher zombies. In this world, where the Infected are everywhere and thirsty for blood, one must rely on their wits to hunt, gather, build and survive.
Survival of the Fittest
Players will have to fight off the zombie hordes and other players, make alliances, learn to trust and work together with others if they want not just to survive doomsdays but thrive in it. The world in LifeAfter is vast and varied, from the bright lights of ravaged cityscapes to vast rolling deserts, morning-lit dense autumn forests and harsh cold snowy mountains.
Players will have to make use of all available resources in order to survive the chaos. In the race for resources, players will be asked to choose a development zone to support. After settling in, joining a side and picking out your very own patch of land, players will get a house and garden with enough room to expand, mine, raise livestock, plant crops, etc.
Brave the Elements
The Infected and other players are not the only things players need to worry about. Players will have to take care not to catch colds in the rain, freeze in the snow or perish in sandstorms. Also be sure to keep some food or berries at hand to keep the wolves from the door and not starve to death. The odds are against you in LifeAfter where even hungry wild beasts will see you as a walking meal.
More Things to Do Than You Can Poke a Stick At
LifeAfter contains a myriad of gameplay elements from hunting, gathering materials, construction and repairs, development, collection, looking after your pet dog and more. Some might find it a bit daunting, but you can take things at your own pace and just focus on the things you enjoy doing. Some people take pleasure in just hunting wildlife or fishing, some like to pimp out their house while others may just enjoy the lore of the world and discovering the mystery behind the Infected. In fact, once you get to grips with the game you are asked to choose a speciality from a list of many like melee weapons expert or expert carpenter. There is something for everyone in LifeAfter.
LifeAfter is an ambitious mobile game that delivers a rich massive multiplayer survival experience like no other. Fans of survival games and RPGs will definitely want to check it out.
