Liber Entertainment announces that its training simulator game, Cue, will go on hiatus. Stylized as Cue!, the game has you train 16 rookie voice actresses through lessons and recording sessions to succeed in the industry. In app purchases will cease on 12:00 JST, 31 March. Cue will then go on hiatus from 12:00 JST, 30 April. There is no given time frame for service to resume. It feels like it’s following fellow I★CHU, with the original game no longer receiving content then moved offline, with a successor in I★CHU Étoile Stage.
Cue does have an upcoming anime to be produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, but no release date has been given for that either.
In any case, this makes for an uncertain future for the game and its fans. The game is supposedly going offline so that they can improve the game experience, and it’s not getting an actual offline version either. Hopefully the game could come back on time to relaunch with its anime, whenever that is, but right now, it’s a lot of nothing.
There will be an album release coming soon at least, on 21 April 2021. If you’re interested in keeping up with the game, you can check out its official website here.
