We’ve covered much on Re:Legend, a Malaysian-made game by local studio Magnus Games. The game will be in early access later this August. We had a chat with DC Gan, co-founder of Magnus Games, about the game.
They’ve had to create alpha builds for demos, so we asked about the differences in builds between events. Much is mentioned about acquiring feedback, as an alpha build is meant as a test run. From the world map to the farm, much has been changed. DC also says the Early Access build will differ as well. This is all for a good user experience.
“From the current build to Early Access, Early Access will have double the content [from now],” he said. “We are targeting at least 70 Magnus (Ed note: the tameable monsters within the game) for Early Access, with more features to be introduced.”
The current build doesn’t have language-specific voice overs, but DC says they are currently working on English, Japanese and Mandarin VOs. For now, other sounds are being focused on, like that of effects, while the script gets finalized.
DC hopes that more Malaysians would support local indie game studios, as support is important for studios to stand out. Nevertheless, the studio will be hard at work to deliver the best experience they can.
