Lenovo announced the return of their League of Legends tournament, Legion of Champions III, today. The Malaysian finals will take place in December at Battle Arena, Jaya Shopping Center. A total prize pool of RM9000 is up for grabs for participants.
The Legion of Champions III tournament is the third installment in a line of League of Legends tournaments hosted by Lenovo and Garena. Held annually, the tournament attracts gaming powerhouses from all around the Southeast Asian region.
The online qualifiers will take place from mid-November. The top four teams will qualify for the Malaysian finals. The winner of the finals will represent Malaysia at the Legion of Champions III Grand Finals in Bangkok, Thailand in January 2019. In addition to the opportunity of representing Malaysia at the grand finals, the winning team will receive RM5000 in cash. The first runner-up and second runner-up will receive RM3000 and RM1000 respectively.
On-ground activities will be available for fans during competition day. Fans can pick up freebies through these activities. Furthermore, fans can stand a chance to win a trip for two worth up to RM10,000 to watch the Legion of Champions Grand Finals in Bangkok. All fans need to do is purchase eligible Legion gaming devices from 15th October to 30th December 2018. Once purchased, fans will need to share their favourite Legion product and why, along with a valid purchase receipt. Other exclusive prizes such as Razer Game Store credits are up for grabs as well.
Interested gamers can now register for the upcoming tournament from the 1st to the 18th of November 2018. On the other hand, fans who wish to stand a chance of winning that trip to Bangkok can submit their entries here.
