Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal anime has recently gotten a new trailer which also announces its broadcast / streaming date for October 2022. You can watch the English subtitled trailer below:
The Teardrop Crystal anime might be taking a slightly different track from the original game being an adaptation and all, so we’ll have to see where it goes. It’s not surprising the anime appears to be adapting the Jumi arc, with the prominence of Florina, Sandra, Pearl, Elazul, Diana and Esmeralda on the key visual art. Kevin Penkin composed the opening, “Tear of Will”, performed by Saori Hayami, voice of Seraphina.
It is beyond crazy to be able to announce that I am the composer of the Opening Theme to the 『聖剣伝説 Legend of Mana -The Teardrop Crystal』anime, with vocals & lyrics by the amazing Hayami Saori (@hayami_official). https://t.co/0Zif6qBrYA pic.twitter.com/G2MQfimGPv

Interestingly, the trailer also includes a short scene of Seraphina – Shiloh’s female counterpart – talking to a fairy. The Fairy Arc is one of the three “main” storylines in Legend of Mana, with each being quite self-contained. Whether this is soft-confirming a future “sequel” focusing on Seraphina being the heroine of the Fairy Arc will have to be seen, and whether Shiloh and her are separate entities i.e. different “timelines”, as it were.
This leaves the Dragon Arc not having much, if any, representation in anime form. That is likely going to be further off in the future should it be in the works.
