As a strategy RPG, Langrisser Mobile is a little bit more complicated than your average game as some form of advanced planning is required. If you are new to the game and genre as a whole, here are some Langrisser Mobile beginner tips and tricks to get you started. Be sure to check out our review too if you haven’t!
Power Forward
The best thing to do early in the game is simply progress through the story. The game difficulty is scaled accordingly to your current level, so moving forward is the best way to advance. Furthermore, at the start, this is necessary to unlock certain game features. Along the way, you will encounter optional battles, and you can ignore them until you are ready.
Diversity Is Strength
While it is tempting to simply assemble an army with your favourite characters, Langrisser Mobile necessitates that you build a team of varied units due to its battle mechanics. As some units are better against others, you will want a good mix of heroes to tackle the mission. The game does a good job explaining this aspect, so be sure to pay attention. There are however neutral units that are neither stronger nor weak against anything in particular.
Saving For A Rainy Day
While it is highly tempting to just start spamming your summon tickets, holding back is the better move. Performing 10x Trinity Summons guarantee you at least one SR unit. There is no difference cost wise, you get a better return on investment. This does not matter for Friendship Summons so draw away.
Due Diligence
If you are free player, dailies are your best friend. Doing these objectives regularly means you will always be constantly rewarded with all sort of goodies, most notably premium currency and summon tickets. These also serve as a bonus challenge of sorts which gives the game a bit more variety.
Think Tank
Langrisser Mobile does not punish you for being slow, so take your time and figure out your next move. While it might seem tempting at first to just rush down the enemies, one false move may mean your team being decimated, which ends up wasting more time. The AI isn’t particularly the best, but if you leave enough of the opening, you might just find yourself being crushed with little effort.
