Japan-based developer Gemdrops has just dropped a new trailer for Laid-Back Camp -Virtual-, its upcoming virtual camping adventure games. Despite the virtual in the name, the developer has assured that players do not require headsets and can experience the game on various platforms, including Android and iOS. If you are on the VR bandwagon however, Laid-Back Camp -Virtual- has support for various VR kits, namely PlayStation VR for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit for Switch, and Oculus Rift and HTC Vive for PC.
If you have any idea of the series, then you will know that the Laid-Back Camp games will be about giving players a taste of the outdoors in VR. Alongside you will be main characters Kagamihara Nadeshiko and Shima Rin. For the first game, Lake Motosu, you will assume the role of Nadeshiko and go on a trip with Rin. The roles are reversed in Fumoto Campsite, and you will instead be Rin and experience the adventure from her point of view.
With regards to gameplay, you will be mostly watching fully-voice scenarios and partaking in discoveries that may pop up during the trips. The developers have stated that both games have around the same number of event scenes in a single episode. Be sure to check out the first trailer here if you have not.
