Capcom has announced they would be giving away a 1/8 scale Lady Dimitrescu figure, though the figure is the only of its kind so far since there’s been no announcements otherwise.
The developer announced they would be doing this as celebration for the Dev1 Twitter account passing 50k followers, so the prize would be given to a lucky follower who shares the contest tweet.
The Lady Dimitrescu figure is produced by Gecco Corp, who’d also produced figures based on Robbie The Rabbit from horror contemporary Silent Hill 3. The winner would also receive a certificate of authenticity, along with the signature of the art director responsible for awakening people’s tall woman fetishes.
While this figure definitely seems to be the only one of its kind for now, Capcom haven’t completely denied that there aren’t any plans to pay homage to one of the most popular Resident Evil characters in years yet. Lady Dimitrescu shot to popularity among fans after vocal excitement for a tall vampire dressed in vintage fashion, with lots of marketing built around just conceptualizing how tall she really is.
Hopefully Capcom gets the hint eventually and a more mass-produced figure of the character gets developed down the line, especially since Resident Evil Village has done exceptionally well, breaking 3 million units sold mere days after its launch earlier this month.
