Capcom announced during their NEXT Livestream that the Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess demo is now available.
They revealed that the demo will let you play part of the main story, and there are no restrictions on playtime or the number of times you can play. The demo will be available on all the platforms Kunitsu-Gami is releasing on: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PS5, PS4, and Steam. And will be available until July 18, 2024. The game is set to be a different take on a tower defense game which involves a day-night cycle where players prepare during the day by assisting villages and completing various objectives across the map. While at night, players rally to stop the Seethe rampaging from defiled Torii gates and purifying the gate after.
Capcom also unveiled a collaboration with its beloved 2006 game Okami, and will include costumes for Kunitsu-Gami’s main character, Soh, and the Maiden Yoshiro, as well as special weapons and music.
Additionally, if enough people work together and complete the bonus unlock campaign, the Okami collab items will be available for free as part of an update for everyone who buys a copy of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess when it releases on July 19. The unlock campaign will have players collectively gather 1 billion crystals and find 15 lucky mallets hidden in the demo. You can find updates of the campaign on the game’s official social media page with the first mallet found just hours after the demo release.
