The long-awaited isekai comedy sequel KonoSuba Season 3 finally has a premiere date, scheduled to start airing in April 2024.
Along with the date when the anime will premiere, KADOKAWA also put out a full first trailer for KonoSuba Season 3, featuring the return of our favorite chaotic party of misfits.
Based on the isekai comedy light novel series by writer Natsume Akatsuki and illustrator Kurone Mishima, Season 3 will be produced by Studio Drive.
Studio Drive was previously responsible for the Megumin-focused spin-off series, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, while the first two seasons were handled by Studio Deen with J.C. STAFF producing the movie, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson.
All of the original voice cast will also be reprising their iconic roles:
- Jun Fukushima as Kazuya
- Sora Amamiya as Aqua
- Rie Takahashi as Megumin
- Ai Kayano as Darkness
- Sayuri Yahagi as Claire
- Kanon Takao as Iris
- Reina Ueda as Rain
Director of the Megumin-focused spin-off series, KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!, Yujiro Abe will be directing this season with Makoto Uezu supervising the series composition.
Takaomi Kanasaki, director of the first two seasons and the movie adaptation, will be serving as chief director.
Meanwhile, Kouichi Kikuta returns to handle character design and Masato Koda composes the music.
The third season of KonoSuba was originally announced to be in development 2 years ago, with Studio Drive focusing on the Megumin spin-off series first.
