After the success of Death Stranding, the incredibly esoteric team at Kojima Productions have announced that they’re starting a new project. To do this, they need to build bridges with new employees, which they’re recruiting via a tweet. Interested parties can refer to their website for more information.

The positions are based in Tokyo, and applicants will need to be proficient in Japanese. This isn’t a pinky promise, either, as you’ll need a Proficiency Test N2 Level to apply.
Here’s a list of the positions they’re currently filling:
- Programmer
- Artist
- Game Design
- Sound Design
- Writer
- Producer
- Localization
For the Artist position, knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, Zbrush and Mudbox will be required. The positions are further specialized into Character Artists, VFX Artists as well as Mechanical Artists.
One hopeful note is that while they require prior shipped game experience, Kojima Productions encourages fresh graduates to apply “Even if they do not meet the requirements”.
Kojima Productions is enjoying some success after the launch of their debut game, Death Stranding. While we don’t know anything about the new project he’s working on, it’s clear that it’ll contain at least some of the Kojima hallmarks based on the call for Mechanical Artists.
Similarly, the call for fresh grads is also a nice note, since many young artists might be too intimidated to apply for the high-profile studio.
