It is no secret that Dead or Alive has copious amounts of porn floating around on the internet. Still, burning it into a DVD and selling it is inadvisable.
This is because Koei Tecmo is pressing charges against an unnamed porn DVD maker. According to Famitsu, the DVD in question contained digitally modified Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation characters. These digital modifications include removing the characters’ clothing. The suspect proceeded to sell the unlawful DVD at an auction.
Apparently, Koei Tecmo made a police report at Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department. A criminal case and a civil suit are being pursued against the suspect. In addition, the publisher announced that it is planning to sue the porn DVD maker over copyright infringement.
Fighting game franchise Dead or Alive is not exactly family-friendly in nature. Recent entries in the series are infamous for their jiggle physics on the female fighters.
Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation removes the fighting element and adds a gacha element. Players roll for new characters and mostly scantily-clad skins as they have the girls play beach volleyball. Recently, the Japanese version of the game added a new character.
While Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation characters already do not have much cloth on them in the first place, please do not digitally remove their clothes just to sell it as a porn DVD.
