Knights in the Nightmare, a DS and PSP title which released back in the late 2000s, is getting revived thanks to a new remaster. This time around, the remaster will be for the Switch and even iOS and Android for mobile devices.
Here is the English trailer of the game back in 2009:
Sting Entertainment, the game’s developer and publisher in Japan, posted this tweet earlier today confirming that a remaster is coming.

Besides the platforms and the 2021 release window, not much is known about the remaster. An English version, while still unconfirmed, is also very likely to happen. Atlus, famous for its Persona and Shin Megami Tensei titles, published the game in the west.
Knights in the Nightmare originally released in Japan back on September 25, 2008 for the DS, followed by a North American release a year later on June 3, 2009. The PSP version launched on April 22, 2010 in Japan. The North American PSP release came out on November 9, 2010.
Knights in the Nightmare is a strategy bullet hell game that puts players in the role of a wisp who summons the souls of fallen knights to do battle against monsters.
While a mobile release would mean a greater audience, the big question remains—would Knights in the Nightmare Remaster be a free-to-play or pay-to-play app? Follow Sting Entertainment’s Twitter account to follow the game’s development.
