Nintendo and Hal Laboratories have released a new trailer for their upcoming game Kirby and The Forgotten Land, this biggest point of information being the announcement that the game will come out on the 25th of March 2022.
Check out the ‘Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Copy Abilities and Co-op Trailer‘ below:
The trailer reveals a lot of new information about the game. We see some of the new copy abilities being added like the drill ability and ranger ability that allows Kirby to use a gun. The game will also be a co-op adventure, with a second player taking control of the Bandana Waddle Dee, who can drop in at any time.
There is also a new hub area the is inhabited by Waddle Dees that Kirby has to rescue from a group called the beast pack. Here you can perform mini-games like fishing and ice cream making, as well as gather collectibles from a capsule machine.
Finally, the trailer confirmed that a few classic Kirby characters will return for the game including a Meta Knight and a new iteration of Whispy Woods. No King Dedede yet but we doubt that he’ll be missing out on this game.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be the first Kirby game to be a fully 3D platformer as opposed to a 2.5D one like previous entries in the series, making it a very important game in the franchise.
It will be released for the Nintendo Switch on the 25th of March 2022.
