At the Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link is a new title announced along with Kingdom Hearts 4. Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, with hyphen, is a new, upcoming mobile title, which will presumably replace Union Cross. Union Cross is home to Dark Road, the latter being a spin off – in a manner of speaking – to show the origin story of Xehanort. The finale of that story will finally be coming August 2022.
Going by the trailer, it seems to be a portrait based, real time action battler game. A closed beta test for iOS and Android will be coming sometime 2022, limited to specific regions. This should hopefully only be applying to the closed beta test, with a worldwide release whenever. There’s no other time frame given for this title, but perhaps we can expect it after August 2022 when Dark Road gets to properly conclude.
There might be more tidbits revealed at the actual anniversary event itself, a video of which will be coming at a later time.
“The 20th Anniversary Event has just wrapped up. We’ve collated the videos revealed today, so if you weren’t able to come to the event, then please take a look. We’ll be providing more information at a later date. Thank you very much for today.”
