King of Fighters, the popular IP by SNK, has made announcements of their new mobile MMORPG game, King of Fighters: World, back in January 2017. There has been release of gameplay footages for a couple of months in the first quarter of 2017, however later it became really quiet. But now it just sprung up in Taiwan with a pre-registration event on-going now!
The game will be published by WeGames in Taiwan and the pre-registration event will reward players with some goodies by following the steps required by them. If King of Fighters is a stranger to you, don’t worry as this time, King of Fighters: World is an MMORPG instead of its original fighter genre. Though the game has already been released in China last year, this version by WeGames is a port that’s catered to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
Interestingly, as an MMORPG, there are modes where players can join in with two other players through the online matchmaking system to do a 3vs3 battle. Players will be able to pick any characters they like and roam around the world of King of Fighters in a car and dress in their fashion.
There’s no news if the game will be available in English in the future. Knowing as the game is developed by Ledo Interactive, a China-based company licensed by SNK, it is highly unlikely for the game to be translated to English. However if you have the Chinese language skill, then go ahead and try it out!
