Celebrating the Tokusatsu franchise’s 50th anniversary, Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations, a new Kamen Rider film, revealed its first trailer. It will release this winter in theatres across Japan on December 17, 2021.
Check out the trailer for the film here, uploaded by Toei Movie Channel:
The film pays homage to all three eras of Showa, Heisei and Reiwa Kamen Riders as the 12th entry in the Movie War film series. As a crossover film between Kamen Rider Revice and Kamen Rider Saber, it features a new Kamen Rider as an antagonist—Kamen Rider Century—a Kamen Rider who hails from the future.
The film takes place in the year 2071, which happens to be 100 years after the debut of Kamen Rider 1. It comes as little surprise that time travel will be an important aspect of the movie, with one of the major characters in the film being a time-travelling scientist.
Some of the Kamen Riders who are confirmed to appear in the movie include Kamen Rider Super-1, Kamen Rider Zi-O, Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider Fourze, Kamen Rider Kuuga and Kamen Rider Zero One.
