Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Memorial Set Lets You Pretend You’re A Superhero

Bandai has announced the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Memorial Set, a group of items to make you feel like the original Kamen Rider.

The set is available via the P-Bandai webstore, and includes a high-quality reproduction of the belt worn by the first and second Kamen Riders, among other memorabilia. It’s avaialable for preorder now, and can be bought for 55000 Yen (RM2128.90)

Naturally, the belt comes with all the necessary sound effects and even practical effects, including the slit for pretending you’re the second Kamen Rider. It comes with a switch, letting you swap out the belt for Kamen Rider 1 mode or Kamen Rider 2 mode.

Unlike many of the toy belts, the 50th anniversary belt comes with a leather strap, adorned with the same buttons as the one worn on the show.

Aside from that, it also includes other Kamen Rider memorabilia, such as the Kamen Rider’s iconic muffler, as well as a medallion bearing the heroes’ likeness on it.

Of course, it wouldn’t do you any good if you had nowhere to display the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Memorial, so it also comes with a numbered pedestal, letting you wrap the belt around it to display your commitment to fighting evil.

Kamen Rider is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, being one of the most iconic Japanese franchises since, with multiple riders spanning the Showa, Heisei and Reiwa eras. A movie titled Shin Kamen Rider was previously announced to kick off the 50th anniversary celebrations.
