Kaguya Sama : Love Is War has announced the release date for season 3 of the anime, alongside a 10-minute PV adapting that just adapts a whole chapter from the manga.
According to the PV, Kaguya Sama season 3 will release in April of 2022 as part of that season’s lineup of anime. It will also be dropping the Love Is War subtitle, instead adopting a new one: Ultra-Romantic.
Some fans have speculated the scope of the third season based on the new subtitle, with the phrase Ultra-Romantic appearing in a particular key arc from the manga.
Changing subtitles isn’t unique to the anime either- the manga has changed subtitles multiple times, originally starting as Kaguya Sama Wants To Be Confessed to: A Genius’ War of Love And Brains.
The manga chapter adapted by the PV is Chapter 110 from the manga, which exists for the sole purpose of announcing the anime adaptation of the manga. In the chapter, Ishigami and Shirogane’s favorite manga, Momo-Kun, is getting an anime adaptation.
The gag would go on to continue, with other big announcements for the series being mirrored by the Momokun manga such as the live action movie.
Kaguya Sama Season 3 was originally announced during a live concert celebrating the series lasts year, following the success of the second season which aired locally here on Netflix.
