Jurassic World Evolution 2 is getting a big update later this month- bringing feathered dinosaurs into the game.
In a blog post today, the developers announced the Feathered Species Pack- paid DLC bringing several feathered animals into the game releasing on March 30th.
“Showcase an array of eye-catching prehistoric species in your parks and excite your guests with land-dwelling dinosaurs and a flying reptile. These captivating additions all exhibit magnificent plumage, ranging from dense coverings to fine coats that make them feel more alive than ever!”, they said in the blog post.
The blog post shows off 4 new species- Yutyrannus, Deinocheirus Jeholopterus and Sinosauropteryx.
Feathered dinosaurs have always been a major criticism of the Jurassic World series- while the original Jurassic Park was made with respect to popular scientific theories at the time, Jurassic World’s insistence on visual consistency with its predecessor made a lot of its dinosaurs look like outdated relics.
That largely changed with Jurassic World: Dominion, which found a way to work in the idea of feathered species- albeit with mixed results.
The DLC launches alongside title update 6 for Jurassic World Evolution 2, which also brings new tools to the game such as Remote Viewing Platforms to entertain guests as well as new features for Sandbox mode.
