Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Trailer shows off theme song and characters

Jujutsu Kaisen fans were in for a treat as TOHO Animation uploaded the trailer for the series’ upcoming prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The trailer went live earlier today at exactly 12 am JST on YouTube. You can watch it here:

The trailer showed off the theme song for Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Itto, sung by Japanese band King Gnu. While those who watched the anime will definitely recognise some of the characters like Satoru Gojo and Panda, the prequel film features a different protagonist. It centres around Yuta Okkotsu and how he deals with his childhood friend turned Curse, Rika Orimoto.

Here is the synopsis for Jujutsu Kaisen 0 from Viz Media:

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?
