Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen in Malaysia may not have long to wait before the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel movie hits local theaters. TGV Cinemas’ announcement simply has a red zero and “coming soon”, tagging it with anime.
Originally released in Japan on 24 December 2021, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 itself has gotten a Western release date set for 18 March 2022, so fans in Malaysia may be able to expect a similar release time frame. For those unfamiliar with the series, the movie tells the story of Yuta Okkotsu and the events that take place in his first year at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Characters like Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki and Panda are first-year students in the film as it takes place before season 1 of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. The release has been an incredibly successful one, being the second fastest grossing movie behind fellow juggernaut, Demon Slayer’s Mugen Train.
In the mean time, the series’ mobile game adaptation, called Phantom Parade, is presently accepting pre-registrations with a projected release date sometime 2022, presumably only for Japan. That hasn’t stopped fans from trying the game out with or without the language barrier. Hopefully, its popularity will see enough reason to bring it over worldwide sooner rather than later.
In any case, stay tuned for further details to finally watch the movie!
UPDATE 4 FEBRUARY 2022, 21:30:
