Netflix has announced the release date for Part 2 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, the sixth chapter of the long-running Jojo manga.
In a new trailer, they mentioned that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 would release globally on Netflix on September 1st, 2022.
Netflix has confirmed that just like the first part, Part 2 will also be 12 episodes long, ranging episode 13-24.
It also looks like, just like the first part, Netflix would be getting the anime episodes first, with terrestrial channels in Japan only getting access to the anime on October 7th, a month later.
The trailer also shows new faces coming to Stone Ocean, following where the last episode of part 1 came out.
These include the character Narciso Anasui, who briefly appeared alongside Emporio and Weather Report in the first part of the anime, and his own Stand, Diver Down.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean follows the adventures of Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Stardust Crusaders protagonist Jotaro Kujo after she’s framed for a murder she didn’t commit.
Just like many of the other parts, it revolves around the concept of Stands- manifestations of characters powers, and her battles against other such Stand users as she tries to stop Enrico Pucci, who as of the first part has stolen her father’s memoreis.
