Yokohama is the hot place to be with the announcement of Jojo World, an amusement centre dedicated to the long-running Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.
The amusement centre opens March 5th 2021, and will feature attractions based on the first 5 parts of the iconic manga series. The park will run until May 9th, 2021.
The first attraction is based on Part 1: Phantom Blood. Memeta! Ripple Roulette will have you getting prizes based on your “Ripple energy”. They haven’t explained how the work in practice, but it will probably be something breath-related.
The second one is based on Part 2: Battle Tendency. Named Ancient Roman Deathmatch Chariot Lottery Wheel, this is a lot more straightforward, and is a wheel you can spin to win prizes. The wheel is supposedly done up to evoke the imagery of Joseph Joestar’s Chariot Match against Wamuu.
Part 3: Stardust Crusaders’ attraction is called Dio’s ‘You’re watching me, aren’t you? ‘ , and will have guests trying to take photos of Dio similar to the start of Part 3, using Joseph Joestar’s Hermit Purple.
That’s not all the love for Part 3 though, as there is also a second game based on Sugoroku. The Joestar Group World Tour will have guests experience the journey from Japan to Egypt, as per the plot of Stardust Crusaders.
For Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, the amusement centre will be having an interactive minigame. Let’s Go To The Manga Artist’s House will have guests “be interviewed by Kishibe Rohan”, though the mechanics of this are unknown.
Finally, the last attraction is centred around Part 5: Vento Aureo. This takes the form of an ARG, called the Passione Team Assignment Suitability Diagnostic Test. Here, guests will have to complete “missions” given to them by a team leader.
Not much else is known about Jojo World for now, though the official website says it will get a mention in the next chapter of the current ongoing manga, Jojolion.
