A new spinoff of Jojo ‘s Bizarre Adventure has been announced possibly featuring Josuke and Hol Horse, alongside other news regarding one of the most iconic Shonen series of all time.
According to SiliconEra, very little is known about the upcoming spinoff, other than it won’t be handled by Jojo series creator Hirohiko Araki. Similar to the part 5 spinoff Purple Haze Feedback, it will instead be handled by Kouhei Kodono.
UPDATE: Read more about the release date here.
Additionally, the Jojo spinoff will also feature art by Tasuku Karasuma, of No Guns No Life fame. The report also makes a mention of an illustration featuring Josuke and Hol Horse related to the Jojo spinoff, which would make it the first spinoff to actually feature one of the series main characters. The only catch is that the name Josuke could actually refer to two different characters, with the protagonist of Part 8 and Part 4 bearing the same name despite being different people.
A lot of Jojo news has dropped today, with a tidbit from Araki that Part 9 would start “after a break” following the conclusion of Jojolion, which holds the record for the longest of Jojo’s 8 parts. Not much is known about part 9 either, although it’s being tentatively called Jojo Land for now.
Meanwhile fans eager for a new Jojo fix can still look forward to Jojo Part 6, which releases on Netflix later this year.
