According to Siliconera, the previously reported new Jojo spin-off Manga that was announced in August is now confirmed to begin publishing in December of 2021.
We still know little about the new manga other than it will start Josuke Higashigata, the protagonist and titular Jojo of the fourth part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable. The series will also take place in the setting of part 4, the small fictional town of Morioh, Japan.
The previous reports about the Jojo spin-off manga mentioned that Josuke would be included alongside another character, Hol Horse, a side villain from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure part 3: Stardust Crusaders and has not appeared in the series since that manga.
The manga is set to be written by Kouhei Kadano, who is most well known for his work on the Boogiepop Phantom light novel series. The art will be done by Tasuku Kurasuma of the No Guns Life series.
This news comes alongside previous reports that Jojo Part 9 will begin production following a short break that series manga Hirohiko Araki has decided to take following the end of Jojo part 8 Jojolion which completed publishing this summer.
An anime adaptation of Jojo part 6: Stone Ocean will also begin airing on Netflix this December.
