Hirohiko Araki has announced that he will begin working on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 9 tentatively titled ‘Jojo Lands’ after a short break following the ending of Part 8.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 8: Jojolion debuted in Ultra Jump Magazine in 2011 and after over ten years of publication, has this August 2021. It seems however that the immortal vampire Araki has no plans to end Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure as a whole anytime soon.
We know nothing else about Jojo Part 9 beyond the possible title of Jojo Lands. Chances are it’s still extremely early in production especially with Araki taking a break before he properly starts the series.
With that being said, the Manga’s predecessors Part 7 and Part 8 have been considered by fans to be two of the best parts of the series since it first began in 1987. The two parts, which acted as a soft reboot of the series saw Jojo expand beyond its’ shounen roots to produce more nuanced stories but still enriched with a flamboyant sense of style that only Jojo can create. If that’s any indication, Part 9 will be just as good.
We hope that Araki has a nice long break. He certainly deserves it and can’t wait to see what Jojo Part 9 will have in store.
The anime adaptation of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean will begin airing on Netflix in December 2021. A new trailer for the anime was released giving us a better idea of the plot.
