JoJo All Star Battle R Gets Wonder Of U As Final DLC Character For Season 2

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the final DLC for Season 2 of Jojo ‘s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R– Wonder Of U, the villain of Part 8.

The company put out a short teaser for the character today, featuring the voiced debut of the character, considering this is the first alternate media featuring it.

No exact release date has been given for the DLC however, and it’s safe to assume more information will be given alongside the gameplay reveal for the character.

Wonder Of U is the villain of Jojo ‘s Bizarre Adventure Part 8: Jojolion, alongside its Stand User, Toru.

That being said, while Toru is confirmed to be part of the character’s cinematics, he himself is not playable- for both modes, Wonder of U will be the only controllable character.

It’s a neat nod to Wonder Of U in the manga itself- with the character being a largely autonomous Stand, to the point of appearing human to anyone who doesn’t know its secret.

In the manga, the Stand operates on the principle of Calamity- anything so much as a thought showing intent to pursue the Stand will cause all manner of calamity to befall the pursuer, from random objects getting in the way to raindrops falling like bullets.

Bandai Namco Entertainment are keeping mum about the playstyle for Wonder Of U, but given the character’s unique fighting style in the anime it’s safe to assume they’ll be working in the Calamity mechanic in some way.

This marks the second character from Jojolion to come to All-Star Battle, with the original game having only come out right after the release of Jojolion, no other characters aside from Josuke make a playable appearance.
