The “Japan Game Awards 2022” (organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA)) announced today the winners of the “Future Division.”
In the “Future Division,” users voted online for three days from September 15 (Thu.) to 17 (Sat.) for unreleased titles that were exhibited or announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022. Following a selection process by the Japan Game Awards Selection Committee from among the works that are eagerly awaited for release and those that have been highly supported by the public, 10 titles have been selected.
Without further ado, here are the 10 winners:
- A Space For The Unbound (Chorus Worldwide) – Switch/PS4/PS5/Xbox One
- Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key (Koei Tecmo) – Switch/PS4/PS5/PC
- Exoprimal (Capcom) – PS4/PS5/Xbox One/ Xbox Series X|S/PC
- Final Fantasy XVI (Square Enix) – PS5
- Forspoken (Square Enix) – PS5/PC
- Like A Dragon: Ishin (Sega) – PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC
- Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection (Capcom) – Switch/PS4/PC
- Street Fighter 6 (Capcom) – PS4/PS5/Xbox Series X|S/PC
- Sonic Frontiers (Sega) – Switch/PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC
- Wo: Long Fallen Dynasty (Koei Tecmo) – PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S/PC
We’ve personally played previews of several of these games and held interviews with their developers and can safely say that they are all more than deserving of these awards.
Tokyo Game Show was a packed week of announcements and we’re excited to see these games and many more edge closer to launch so we can fully get our hands on them.
