Hazelight Studios, the developers behind the 2021 Game of the Year winner It Takes Two, is hinting at a new announcement coming later this year.
In a post on its official X/Twitter account, Hazelight Studios highlighted that the company’s 10th anniversary is approaching this coming November, before teasing that it will talk about “new (real good) stuff” later this year.

“In November we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hazelight,” the X/Twitter post reads.
“Damn, it’s nostalgic looking back at Josef accepting a BAFTA for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons back in March 2014. The crazy success of that game is why he founded Hazelight soon after.”
“Sure, we got new (real good) stuff cooking that we’ll talk more about later this year. But right now we want to take you on a trip down memory lane and show you some of the never-before-seen moments that got us here. More to come soon.”
It Takes Two is Hazelight Studios’ most recent title, a story-driven co-op experience that received high praises from critics and audiences alike, winning multiple year-end accolades including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021.
The game recently celebrated its third anniversary and Hazelight Studios revealed that it has sold over 16 million copies worldwide.
Aside from It Takes Two, the studio’s previous title A Way Out, is also a story-driven cooperative experience that received many positive reviews as well.
