It Takes Two is a brand new game about improving your bonds featuring mandatory co-op, developed by Hazelight and published by EA.
The game releases March 26th, and revolves around Cody and May. Players will have to work together to sort through their issues, similar to Hazelight’s debut game A Way Out.
Each level will also feature connected abilities between the two players, which they’ll have to use to complete various challenges.
For those worried that it would be relatively heavy in tone similar to a Way out, don’t fret: It Takes Two is a lot lighter take on the experience, featuring quests like controlling underwear and DJ-ing in a club.
Just like A Way Out, the game will feature the Friend Pass, where buying one copy of the game will get you a second copy to use to share with your friend. Here’s what EA had to say about the feature:
To enjoy playing the game in co-op, invite a friend to join for free with Friend’s Pass, tackling ever-changing challenges that can only be solved together. There’s a new ridiculous challenge to overcome around every corner, from rampaging vacuum cleaners to suave love gurus, gangster squirrels to magical snow globes — there’s never a dull moment. Whether it’s in local or online co-op, there’s an abundance of opportunities to team up and become an unstoppable duo.
