Gameduchy, developers of the Iron Saga mobile game have announced that their upcoming fighting game spinoff, Iron Saga VS, will release in Q1 2024.
The game’s Steam Page has been updated to include more information about the previously announced title, such as the game’s English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese text support.
On the audio side, however, the game will only feature Japanese audio.
Combat wise, all we have to go off is the initial combat preview- mechs in the game will be rendered in an SD form, with a lot of air options like launchers as well as air dashes.
The current roster consists of a variety of mechs from the mobile game, with a few exceptions: Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger will both be in Iron Saga VS, sporting unique movesets each.
Additionally, Dancouga is also set to be in the game’s playable roster.
Despite not being the most mainstream title, Iron Saga has earned a particular cult following among the mecha community- the game features multiple crossovers from across the Super Robot pantheon, including classic IPs like Mazinger Z as well as newer series like SSSS.GRIDMAN.
The mobile game is a top down shooter, where you control your mech to clear stages of enemies and activate super abilities.
