Code Atma is a new gacha game from Indonesia, having just released in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Australia. Previously limited to just Indonesians, the game is available on Android devices.
Check out the trailer for the game below:
Set in a modern-day setting, players assume the role of a Seeker tasked to investigate mysterious occurrences around town. Many of these cases are the result of Atma, supernatural beings that players can only see via an app on their in-game smartphone. Players do battle against the Atma by summoning and commanding Atma of their own.
Heavily inspired by the Shin Megami Tensei series, Indonesian studio Agate Games brought this title to life. The Atma in the game have influences from Indonesian and Southeast Asian mythology. Furthermore, players can summon everything from the Kuntilanak to the Pocong, adding a breath of fresh air to the creatures we normally see in games.
In addition, Code Atma also features Indonesian voice acting. With more than 100,000 downloads at the time of writing, the release of the game is definitely a proud moment for Indonesians.
Currently, the game is only available on the Google Play Store. Whether or not it will have an iOS release in the future, only time will tell.
