After over a decade, Indiana Jones will have a new game, this time, with Bethesda’s MachineGames and newly launched Lucasfilm Games handling the project.
Earlier today, Bethesda posted a tweet which contained a teaser for the upcoming title. In the short 33-second video, there is no mention of a release date or platform. Not even an official name for the game. However, the unmistakable theme of Indiana Jones, coupled with the items shown on the desk, all point towards a new game featuring the legendary archaeologist.

Further confirming this is a follow-up tweet from Bethesda. Todd Howard, of The Elder Scrolls renown, will be at the helm of this project as executive producer. The game is being developed by MachineGames, notable for developing the recent Wolfenstein games.
Working together with MachineGames is Lucasfilm Games. Officially launched just two days ago, Lucasfilm Games is the newest label under Lucasfilms, in charge of all gaming titles from the production company. Well known for Star Wars, Lucasfilm Games also owns the IP for Indiana Jones gaming titles.
A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It'll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!

Whether or not the title will look like a shooter ala Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, or an action-adventure game like the Tomb Raider or Uncharted games, only time will tell. In the meantime, check out Bethesda’s Twitter page for future developments.
