Malaysian gaming and electronic retailer Impulse Gaming has announced on its 15th Anniversary that it will be opening its first store in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia.
According to the Johor-based retail chain, it will be the biggest gaming store in Malaysia, being over 10,000 sqft. This will be their 9th retail store across the country.
“We couldn’t have made it here without the support of our earliest customers on Lowyat forums; the first customers who walked through our 1st store at Plaza Mentari in Johor Bahru, to those who patronized our shops at various locations in Selangor, Penang, Seremban, and Ipoh, and of course to everyone who purchased online from us as well!” says Impulse Gaming General Manager Luke Eng.
“Thank you so much and I hope to see you guys at our KL flagship store soon”!
In addition to selling games and accessories from a number of major brands, the store will be made “showroom-esque” with demos available for customers to try different products. There will also be specific showrooms to showcase tech and demos from the retailer’s various partners like Razer, Logitech, and PlayStation.
They will also be partnering with Chatto Cafe to install a small cafe in the store. A part of the shop will also be set aside for gaming community events and gatherings including weekly TCG meetups and tournaments. The store can hold up to 64 players in one sitting.
In addition to the upcoming Kuala Lumpur store, Impulse Gaming currently has retail stores open in the following locations:
- Johor Bahru HQ
- Bandar Sunway Selangor
- Georgetown, Penang
- Queensbay Mall, Penang
- Southkey Midvalley, Johor
- Seremban Gateway, Negeri Sembilan.
- Ipoh, Perak
