Immortals: Muv-Luv Alternative has begun issuing refunds to affected players of the mobile game. It launched in Japan March 2022, but persistent issues plaguing the release led it to be put on ice. Initially targetting a May relaunch, the game has presently no decided timeframe to go live once again.
As such, players who have made any purchases within Immortals: Muv-Luv Alternative will be eligible for refunds. Presumably, this should be applicable only to Japanese residents, as such services have rarely, if ever, been available for players accessing the game from overseas. iOS users will have to make their requests through Apple, while Android users can have their requests handled directly. The process is expected to take 7 to 10 business days. Whenever should the game relaunch, everyone will be starting from scratch.
For now, fans can opt to try Project MIKHAIL, a Muv-Luv game currently in early access. This is meant to gather player input to further improve the game, which going by the review score, is very much a work in progress.
Hopefully, Immortals: Muv-Luv Alternative will not be as ill-fated as Love Plus Every, a mobile version of the virtual girlfriend series from Konami. That game too suffered both delays and an extended, month-long maintenance to patch issues and an exploit.
