Immortals: Fenyx Rising‘s 2nd DLC, Myths of the Eastern Realm, lets players experience a new mythological adventure based in China. Check out the launch trailer for the new DLC below:
Myths of the Eastern Realm is inspired by “Nuwa Mends the Heavens,” an actual Chinese myth. In this DLC, players get to play as a new protagonist, Ku, who has to assist Nuwa by restoring the broken sky.
In this DLC, players get to explore two main regions, Peng Lai and Bu Zhou. The former is a paradise on earth while the latter is a mountainous area that serves as a midpoint between Heaven and Earth. Peace Forge, a tower built by Nuwa, is the player’s main hub where they can access upgrades.
Myths of the Eastern Realm was mainly handled by Ubisoft Chengdu. The team used the classic Chinese text, “Classic of Mountains and Seas” as a reference for the DLC. Many of the enemies and myths that players encounter in the DLC are based on the text. Ubisoft Chengdu also enlisted the help of writers from Beijing Film Academy to better envision Myths of the Eastern Realm.
