After much deliberation, the mobile adaptation of popular anime and manga series Ikki Tousen is now out for Android platforms, with the iOS to follow suit at a later date.
As you relive the battles in the series on a smaller screen, you will assemble all characters that have made an appearance, including Ryuubi Gentoku, Ryomou Shimei, Kanu Unchou and Ryofu Housen. All seiyuu reprise their original roles so you will be pleased to know that if you are a fan. While maintaining key story elements from the original series, the game also introduces new plot points that is sure to please the staunchest of fans.
Gameplay-wise, we are looking at a fairly rudimentary but competent side scrolling beat ’em up with ability cooldowns and the like. There isn’t anything out of the ordinary here, as it has been made to be as accessible as possible. Being the launch week, the game is giving away all early bird goodies, so be sure to give it a go if you like what you see.
