The IGDX Conference 2022 ends with the announcement of who has won the Indonesia Game Awards, the projects that have been voted to be the best games at the event from some of the best developers in the region.
This is an award event that recognizes the creativity and innovation behind games, development teams, and individuals that have contributed to the advancement of the Indonesian gaming industry. There are seven categories with titles that were released from July 2021 to August 2022 being eligible for entry.
Without further ado, here are the winners:
- Best Art – Samudra (Khayalan Arts)
- Best Narrative – The Sun Shines Over Us (Eternal Dream Studio)
- Best Gameplay – Kitaria Fables (Twin Hearts)
- Best Mobile Game – When The Past Was Around (Mojiken)
- Best PC/Console Game – Kitaria Fables (Twin Hearts)
- Game of the Year – Kitaria Fables (Twin Hearts)
- Honorary Award – Mohammad Fahmi Hasni
Each is a promising new indie game from an upcoming developer. The winner of each category was decided by a panel of judges consisting of various gaming media groups prevalent across Southeast Asia:
- Andreas Betsche – Virtual SEA
- Ardhan Fadhlurrahman – AGI (Asosiasi Game Indonesia)
- Dale Bashir – IGN SEA
- Dito Wangsa – Ingame
- Luat Sihombing – KOMINFO
- Risky – Tech in Asia
- Fadhil Baladrad – Digital Braves
