The latest addition to the Idolmaster series, Idolmaster The Starlit Season has gotten new details, as well as a new promotional video. The promotional video was shown off at a recent livestream discussing the upcoming game.
The game will feature 4 different groups from the Idolmaster series, as well as a new character, Okuzora Kohaku. According to 4Game, you’ll play as a scout recruiting the girls, trying to form your own special unit.
The girls you’ll be recruiting from are “The Idolm@ster”, “Cinderella Girls”, “Million Live” and “Shiny Colors”. Ultimately the dream would be to bring all 29 of the characters under the umbrella of Project Luminous, to perform on stage together.
Bandai Namco Entertainment hasn’t elaborated much on the social mechanics of the game, such as whether or not these girls’ recruitment would be linearly related to the game’s plot or if there would be secret requirements.
Naturally, there’s more to do than just recruiting idols, as you’ll also have to make sure they train via various minigames, as well as complete the actual performances, which even go so far as to have “appeal” segments.
In addition to the details about the game’s plot, they’ve also released more information regarding the game’s Digital-only and Limited editions, which comes with various exclusive rewards.
