Idolmaster SideM Growing Stars will be having a livestream to reveal more gameplay details, at last. Idolmaster SideM Growing Stars was originally announced in March, with nary any information, so the livestream will be very welcome. You’ll be able to watch it on Youtube on 9 June 2021, slated to run from 20:00 to 21:30 JST.
Alongside this announcement is the opening of the official website and associated Twitter – here and here respectively – so that fans can stay up to date. The male branch of the staggeringly large Idolmaster franchise saw its rhythm game – titled Live on Stage – be shut down in January 2021, presumably to be replaced by Growing Stars. The original SideM game remains active.
In any case, fans will have to wait for the livestream to confirm if this will be the follow up rhythm game which we can expect to have the usual trappings of music, possibly 3D MVs, various growth mechanics, character bonds and the like. It will be made available on Google Play and Apple App stores, with its release window also possibly announced during the livestream itself.
The notice regarding the stream can be found through the official website here, with appearances from Takuma Terashima (Touma Amagase) and Shuugo Nakamura (Teru Tendou).
