Idol Fantasy now available for smartphones

Square Enix has just announced the launch of Idol Fantasy, its latest cash-in in the somewhat crowded genre. As all pre-registration milestones have been hit, players will be getting all the rewards, including 200 crystals, a ★5 idol card and more.

Character designers who have previously worked on big name franchises, including Nomura Tetsuya and Kobayashi Gen were roped in to work on this game, so you know you are getting the best looking characters around.

Described as an “excitement magic-casting fantasy x idol training game” Idol Fantasy gathers heroes from a world known also as “the world of swords and magic”  and casts them as idols who will make their debut in the real world. Players take on the role as producer, taking said idols to the very top. Of course, the primary draw of such games are of course the seiyuu, and there is no shortage of famous ones here, who include Ono Kensho, Sawashiro Chiharu and Kumagai Kentaro.

The idol management and RPG hybrid is certainly an interesting concept, so if you are a fan of either genre, eb sure to give this game a shot right now.
