HyperX has always been the leading brand when it comes to affordable yet high-quality gaming headsets, and its latest product, the Cloud Stinger 2 follows the same design fundamentals as its predecessor.
Here, we have the PlayStation version of the Cloud Stinger 2. Let’s unbox and have a look at what made Cloud Stinger 2 special.
The Box
The Cloud Stinger 2 comes in a tightly packed box similar to other HyperX headset packages and the PlayStation version of the box has the brand’s iconic white and blues. Aside from the big money shot of the Stinger 2 at the front, the box is mostly printed with the product information of the headset such as the device features.
Inside the box itself, it only comes with the Stinger 2 gaming headset itself and the Quick Start Guide, packing in only the essentials.
HyperX Cloud Stinger 2
In general, there is no performance difference between this headset and the other HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 versions. The difference, however, is that this HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 is white in color and the earpads come with a dark blue accent, representing the signature PlayStation color.
Made up of memory foam and premium leatherette, the headset’s earpads feel soft to the touch and comfortable to hold. Weighing in at under 300 grams, I did not feel the weight even after wearing it for long hours and still felt comfortable.
For added comfort, the headset has 90° rotating earcups, allowing you to easily rest the Stinger 2 on your chest after long gaming sessions. Additionally, you can also mute the headset with convenience just by moving the mic upwards.
A good pair of headsets is important for competitive shooter games like Valorant. If you are interested in purchasing the headset, you can visit the HyperX official website for further details.
