The official twitter for Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced that Hunter x Hunter is going to return from its hiatus on October 24th 2022.
The series has been on a hiatus for nearly four years, stopping at Chapter 390. The new chapter that is going to be released will continue the Succession Arc featuring Kurapika as the main character where he is after the Scarlet Eyes of his family on the boat that is heading towards the dark continent.
The Shonen Jump App has announced that they will be simulpub (releasing same time as Japan) the latest chapter on their app and currently have three of the recent chapters for the series available to read for free.
They have also announced that the entire manga is available to read on their digital vault which can be accessed through a paid subscription.
The paid subscription costs $1.99 monthly and offers a 7-day free trial for newcomers.
Hunter x Hunter is a shonen manga series written by Yoshiiro Togashi debuting in 1998 with up to 390 chapters and 36 volumes released with Volume 37 set to release on November 4 this year in Japan which includes chapter 381 to 390.
The series was made into an anime by Nippon Animation that ran from 1999 to 2001 with a total of 62 episodes. A second anime for the series was made by Madhouse and ran from 2011 to 2014 with a total of 148 episodes.
