4399 Korea will be launching mobile MMORPG Hunter World in South Korea. Pre-registrations for the game will be accepted starting 29 April 2022. You can check out the game’s CG trailer below:
While Koreans wait for pre-regs to officially open, Hunter World is offering Starbucks vouchers for those who participate in the social activities.
As you might be able to guess from the general presentation and name, this game is a Monster Hunter-like. The official website shows off four classes with their respective stat distributions and skill icons, the creatures you’ll be able to encounter, and a selection of the NPCs you will meet. As you might expect, the game will also have multiple biomes in which you can explore, track and hunt, with at least five of them previewed on the website.
Meanwhile, the basic premise of the story seems to be the prophesized destruction of the island on which you reside. It falls to the Hunters to work to keep the peace, and perhaps prevent what seems to be inevitable.
This appears to be at least the second of Monster Hunter-likes set for a mobile release in Korea, the other being Wild Born.
UPDATE 26 APRIL 2022, 17:36: It appears that the game has launched in Southeast Asia at the very least, known instead as Dragon Hunters: Heroes Legend under TTHmobi.
