Hunt The Night is an upcoming new zelda-like, featuring a gothic setting, cool abilities and large bossfights.
You’ll play as The Stalker, and you’ll have to use your dodge, as well as a gun and melee weapons to fight off hordes of monsters. The gameplay looks really similar to Hyper Light Drifter, in which you’ll use your dash to go from platform to platform in place of a jump.
The game is coming to both PC and consoles, although developers Moonlight Games and Dangen Entertainment haven’t clarified on a release date for the tile.
One of the big appeals in the trailer they put out was the pattern-based bossfights in Hunt The Night, being not afraid to mess with your sense of scale. The trailer ends with a really well-animated snake, and your character has to dodge through the boss’ beam attacks to target the person summoning it to weaken the boss.
On top of that it looks like the game will feature more focused levels, wherein you accept quests with a definitive end boss, almost like the setup for Monster Hunter. This is all speculation on our part though, as the developers didn’t elaborate more on the game outside of what was shown in the trailer.
