The Humble Games‘ founded annual $1M fund in the Black Game Developer Fund is marking its second anniversary, announcing new milestones including a publishing deal, new signed projects and Humble Games’ commitment to a third year of $1M in funding.
Adam Kareem’s Protodroid DeLTA will be published by Humble Games, the first BGDF partner to launch his game under the label. Adam himself was among the first developers to enroll for funding under the program. The 3D solarpunk, action-platformer is scheduled for release early 2023. Follow the titular Protodroid DeLTA in her efforts to save the Radia region from a powerful Vyper threat, and the lives she changes along the way.
Humble Games is continuing to commit $1M to the annual fund to continue supporting, empowering and helping to achieve racial equity within game development. The fund has since become an important resource for Black game developers worldwide to allow them to pursue their vision, continue their project or push development further along.
