Humble Games 2022 Showcase: Monaco 2, Stray Gods, and more

Humble Games revealed their games roadmap for 2022 and beyond, with the publishing arm showing off nine new titles to come in their Humble Games Showcase. Humble Games is investing deeper into iconic indie IPs, acquiring the rights to the Monaco franchise from series creator Andy Schatz, for one.

Monaco 2 will be the first new wholly owned title in the Humble Games portfolio, while retaining the original’s roots with Pocketwatch Games’ Schatz returning as creative director. Summerfall Studios’ Stray Gods is receiving Humble Games’ support as well. Other partnerships announced include Coral Island, Moonscars, Ghost Song, SIGNALIS, Infinite Guitars, Chinatown Detective Agency and The Iron Oath.

Without further ado, the Humble Games Showcase as of March 2022:

• Monaco 2: The sequel to Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine now in development at Pocketwatch Games by series’ original creator, Andy Schatz. Test your mettle in brain-bending 3D environments, procedurally generated by an AI mastermind designed for high-stakes challenges and infinite thieving fun.

• Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical: Summerfall Studios presents a narrative-driven, interactive musical adventure created by David Gaider, composed by Austin Wintory, voice directed by Troy Baker and starring Laura Bailey.

• Coral Island: The Indonesia-based Stairway Games brings you a re-imagined farm sim game as inspired by the classics. Be yourself and live on this island at your own pace, with strong themes of ocean conservation built into the core narrative and game loop.

• Moonscars: Black Mermaid’s debut game arrives to PC this Summer 2022; a 2D slasher-platformer featuring skill-based combat with a rich, dark fantasy story in a beautiful, yet despairing, world.

• Ghost Song: Old Moon’s 2D metroidvania-style game will be heading to PC, where you awaken on the desolate moon of Lorian V. Explore the winding caverns beneath you to discover secrets, new abilities, and fight powerful foes.

• SIGNALIS: The Tribeca Games 2021 official selection from rose-engine is a classic survival horror experience with its unique aesthetic. Help Elstar search for her lost dreams in this dystopian, retrotech world on PC and Xbox One Fall 2022.

• Infinite Guitars: A rhythm RPG from Nikko Nikko sees you dodge rhythm-based attacks, and let you retaliate with your own electrifying Guitar Solos. Rock on in a world devastated from a mech war with a style inspired by anime, and of course, the 100% original, jamming soundtrack.

• Chinatown Detective Agency: Inspired by the classic Carmen Sandiego games of the 80s and 90s, General Interactive Co will be releasing this mystery adventure game on PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch 7 April 2022. Travel the world to pursue the truth!

• The Iron Oath: Try out Curious Panda Games’ turn-based tactical RPG when it hits Steam Early Access on 19 April 2022. Lead your mercenary company in the harsh realm of Caelum, hiring recruits, managing operations and completing perilous missions to build your renown.
